After a two-year break due to corona, the fundraising gala “Gala of Hearts” of the Gerald Asamoah Foundation took place again on November 26, 2022. Of course, on board: the XSTAFF GmbH, which has been committed to this charity event as a main or premium sponsor since 2017. With a donation of 25,000 euros, our company contributed to the fact that this year the record sum of 200,000 euros was collected. As in previous years, the sum will be used exclusively to benefit children with heart disease around the world.
Under the patronage of Federal Minister of Justice Marko Buschmann (FDP), numerous guests had gathered in the former soap factory “Dr. Thompson`s” in Düsseldorf for the Gerard Asamoah Foundation’s fundraising gala, including celebrities such as rapper Eko Fresh, actress Anne Menden, star chef Nelson Müller and patron Marko Buschmann himself. A varied program awaited them and many others, including music by Rolf Stahlhofen, BB Tomaz, Nico Gomez and Fresh Music Live, an auction of unusual exhibits such as a goalkeeper training session with Manuel Neuer or a jersey signed by Dirk Nowitzki, and a raffle with great prizes, including a Hublot watch and exclusive show tickets. The performance of Aliou, a young boy from the Ivory Coast who underwent successful heart surgery this year thanks to the support of the Foundation, also generated great emotion. The crowning glory was then the announcement of the total amount of donations collected during the evening: 200,000 euros and thus another 50,000 euros more than in 2019, an outstanding result for which Foundation founder Gerard Asamoah expressed his heartfelt thanks to the guests: “The cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 Gala of Hearts has hurt us very much, as the Gala of Hearts is our most important source of donations. All the nicer that it worked out this time.” A joy shared by Bodo Knop. Even in a difficult time, the managing director of XSTAFF GmbH relies on solidarity and support for needy children in the world: “Despite all the crises, wars and disasters we are currently experiencing: Children are still the weakest members of our society and need our help more than ever. Here, we as a society must not slacken our efforts, but rather become even more involved than before.”
