XSTAFF supports charity organization in the expansion of a school in Gambia

Assuming social responsibility has been an important concern of XSTAFF GmbH for years. That’s why we support social projects worldwide, especially in the health and education sectors. The most recent example: our involvement in the construction of a school in Kachumeh, Gambia.

Gambia in the west of the African continent is one of the poorest countries in the world. The local education system is also suffering as a result. In order to improve the school situation for the children in the small village of Kachumeh, XSTAFF recently donated EUR 7,000.00 to the Spanish charity organization “Caminos Cruzados” (www.caminoscruzados.org). The money will be used to finance the construction of a classroom for a third grade. In November 2020, the organization had already built rooms for the first two grades. Since “Caminos Cruzados” exclusively involves volunteers who personally finance all excursions and costs, the donation can be used entirely for the realization of the project.

One of these volunteers is Sergio Marmol, Managing Director XSTAFF Iberia. He will travel to The Gambia for a week in January 2022 with family and friends to help build the classroom. The 47-year-old is thus fulfilling a long-cherished wish of his heart: “For the children of Kachumeh, the project has a vital impact. In the future, they will have good learning conditions and will no longer have to study in classrooms that have no windows or are flooded with rain. Thanks to XSTAFF’s financial support, these young people now have a perspective and a real chance to lift themselves out of their misery.”
