mariLOG on May 4, 2021 with Bodo Knop – Together through the crisis?
At the 11th International Conference on Maritime Logistics, experts discuss the future of container sea freight.
Even more than a year after its outbreak, the corona pandemic is keeping container sea freight and its stakeholders in suspense. While the shippers complain about exorbitantly high freight rates and increasingly unreliable services from the shipowners, these point to in some cases considerable declines in demand and unpredictable increases in capacity on the main trade routes. A tense situation in which the prospect of a quick solution is increasingly fading. In this situation, new ideas and innovative concepts are all the more important in order to bring the actors from both camps back to one table.
At the digital event mariLOG on May 4, 2021 as part of the transport logistic trade fair, international experts and industry experts will discuss the ways out of the current crisis and how it can be possible to strengthen or restore the willingness to cooperate among the actors. In addition to Jan Tiedemann, Managing Director Alphaliner, Poul Hestbaek, Managing Director Hamburg Süd, Hamburg, Peter Wolf, Managing Director, CMA CGM Germany and Jan Harnisch, Global COO, Rhenus Air & Ocean, Bodo Knop, Chairman of the Board of XSTAFF GmbH, will also be a speaker take part.
Participation in the 90-minute event (1:00-2:30 p.m.) moderated by Sebastian Reimann, editor-in-chief of the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ), and Oliver Link, DVZ editor for sea and air freight, is free of charge.
