Global purchasing network opens new location in Katowice, Poland

Düsseldorf, September 30, 2020 – XSTAFF GmbH continues its growth course of the past years. With the commissioning of the new location in Katowice, Poland, in mid-September, the logistics service provider based in Düsseldorf has further strengthened its international network and at the same time has taken important strategic steps for the future.

After the new founding in Spain in 2017 and another in Italy in 2018, XSTAFF is expanding into Eastern Europe for the first time. “For years, Poland has not only been one of the European countries with the best economic development, but it is also the gateway to the Eastern and Southeastern European markets. From the Katowice location we can serve our target locations both within Germany and in Slovakia and the Czech Republic quickly and efficiently. At the same time, we are fulfilling the desire of many importing companies for high-quality on-site services,” said Bodo Knop, Chairman of the Board of XSTAFF, explaining the strategic orientation associated with the new establishment. Customers of the purchasing platform have unrestricted access to the XSTAFF network in Poland and will be able to access the company’s entire service portfolio here in future. The portfolio ranges from procurement support and advice to warehouse and distribution logistics, customs clearance, and returns management.

The new branch will be managed by Sebastian Gastecki, Managing Director of XSTAFF Poland. The trained forwarding agent with Polish roots, who was Senior Sales Manager for logistics service provider Logwin before joining XSTAFF, has been in the freight business for more than 20 years and is a proven industry expert. In addition to the organizational and personnel development of the new location and the acquisition of potential new customers, the 43-year-old’s primary focus is establishing XSTAFF’s innovative bundling concept on the Polish market. “The past few weeks have already shown the potential this market has to offer. Local importers in particular are very interested in our logistics services. That is why I am sure that the XSTAFF model will prevail here in the long term.”
